The variants comics are often referred to as the comics which feature multiple differently produced artworks. Often it is simply the artist’s version of the cover, or it simply contains a unique art style. The Variants comics are one of the most loved, and the most hated comic book genres of all time. Despite how people feel about the huge production of modern age variants, these comics are tremendously popular among many comic book collectors and enthusiasts.

Here are the top 100 variants covering a period of twenty years. In this list, J. Scott Campbell remains the most featured artist featuring a whooping 13 variant comics overall, not to mention four of them are in the top 10. Where the legendary Todd McFarlane comes in second, which 10 variants in the list. Gabriele Dell’otto has the third spot which six covers as well as securing the top spot in owning the #1 most valuable variant. Not forgetting to mention Adam Hughes and the late Michael Turner with five covers each.
